Melissa McVane, LCSW, CCM
Accepting new supervisees
Hi there! I’m Melissa (she/her), an Oregon LCSW Clinical Supervisor based in the Columbia River Gorge. I bring a diverse professional background and have supported children, adults, and veterans in a variety of settings, including long-term care, private practice, community mental health, managed care organizations (insurance), dialysis, home health, and schools.
I am also a Certified Case Manager (CCM) and provide supervision for professionals pursuing this credential. Many insurance companies require CCM certification before or shortly after employment.
My supervision style is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in compassion. I work alongside supervisees to create a nonjudgmental space where it is safe to be human, ask difficult questions, and work through complex clinical situations. I am passionate about helping clinicians strengthen their skills, develop confidence, and grow professionally while providing high-quality, person-centered care that honors each individual’s needs, goals, and lived experience.
A Little About Me:
• I grew up in a small town in Eastern Oregon and returned to the state after living in Texas for about seven years.
• I am tall (5’10).
• Outside of work I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, hiking with my dog, binge watching Netflix & Hulu shows, Halloween, working out, exploring new places and writing songs.
• My cat was rescued from Syria.
• I have a Cane Corso that famously carries around an emotional support broccoli. It’s a daily, lighthearted reminder that we all deserve things that make us feel safe and content.
• I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
